The Universe

When the universe was first created, there was only one conscious living being—Heavenly God Adun. By constantly loitering in the universe and taking in its energy, it eventually evolved into an unstable spirit with immense power.

To stabilize itself, Adun decided to craft the Heavenly God’s Set using a unique material known as "Meteorfall". Given the rarity of Meteorfall, Adun tried to speed up the crafting by splitting its body into twelve individual deities with various appearances. They were collectively known as the Twelve Gods.

With the help of the Twelve Gods, Adun completed the Heavenly God’s Set. At the same time, the people of Origin, created by energy shards from Adun’s body, had developed an incredibly advanced civilization.

Adun expended tremendous energy on crafting the set. To recover, Adun chose to go into hibernation, leaving the Twelve Gods to protect itself.

The Planet

Soon after, Sothoth—a consciousness from another dimension—was exiled to Adun’s universe. By lodging itself on the sleeping god, Sothoth gained control over Adun’s body. With Adun’s formidable power at its disposal, Sothoth planned to turn the universe into its own lair.

Upon discovery of Sothoth’s plot, the Twelve Gods confronted Sothoth in what came to be known as the Gods’ War. Despite the Twelve Gods’ concerted effort, they were no match for Adun’s power. In the end, they gathered all their power and crushed the Heavenly God’s Set of Adun. Without the set stabilizing Adun’s body, the conflict between the two consciousnesses inside Adun triggered an enormous explosion.

Following the explosion, the people of Origin’s civilization was brought to an end. Sothoth’s and Adun’s consciousnesses became spirit shards drifting across space, and formed organisms on planets. Having lost their source of power, the Twelve Gods disintegrated and created the Twelve Rims in space. Shards of the Heavenly God’s Set straggled all over the universe and even in other dimensions. The relatively intact part of the set, namely Ares’ Helmet, ended up in the center of the Twelve Rims and transformed into a planet named Airth over a long period.

The Alliance

Under the influence of Sothoth’s and Adun’s spirit shards, new life forms gradually emerged across the universe. But things soon turned ugly: Sothoth’s consciousness woke up before Adun’s, turning a lot of living beings into puppets working to resurrect Sothoth. They operated in the Twelve Rims and drained planets’ energy. They were collectively known as the Obsidian Alliance.

As Adun’s God Core within Airth was activated, Adun’s consciousness began to wake up. Aware of Adun’s awakening, the Obsidian Alliance started to invade Airth. In the face of a potential catastrophe, the Manya on Airth joined forces with their neighbors who had lost their homes─the Deva and the Titan. The three factions forged the Astral Alliance to take on the Obsidian Alliance.

The Alliance War broke out on Airth, with the Astral Alliance gaining the upper hand at the outset. Yet, the enemy corrupted Leon, former Astral King of the Astral Alliance, and opened the long-prepared Astral Gate. This allowed members of the Obsidian Alliance across space to teleport to Airth. The Astral Alliance was on the brink of destruction. Fortunately, under the command of General Magnus and others, the Astral Alliance got back on its feet.

To ward off the enemy and shut down the portal in the Twelve Rims, the Astral Alliance drew up the grand Ephemeris Plan. While fighting the Obsidian Alliance, the Astral Alliance is constantly gathering energy to awake the Twelve Gods’ remaining consciousnesses within the Starcore one by one. This will cause the Obsidian Alliance to lose control over the portal. (A server-wide objective for players, the Ephemeris system)

Meanwhile, current Astral King Leyden has yet to come to terms with his father being corrupted by the Obsidian Alliance. He sent his remaining forces to track down Faust, the man behind Leon’s corruption. (The player’s personal objective and main quests)
